SERVICES
Services will vary as each family has individual needs. I first like to meet for a casual discussion to ensure we are a well-matched team. I will go over my letter of agreement and answer questions as they arise.
Upon hiring, my service will include:
-one or more visits to get to know each other and discover your birth wishes
-24 hour on-call support for your questions as they arise
-access to my library of reading, DVD, and audio material
-a complete list of relevant community resources
-a relaxation session (you must be past 38 weeks and this usually includes a hot foot or hand soak and only if you feel comfortable with this)
-continuous physical, emotional and informational support throughout labour and delivery
-breastfeeding assistance at your discretion
-a debriefing visit the day after the delivery
-a closing visit at 7-10 days following the delivery
I am also available at times for extended postpartum support although I have not certified as a postpartum doula. Please see www.dona.org for more information on postpartum doulas.
I now offer birthing equipment and digital infant weigh scale rentals based on availability. Please ask for details.
Fees
Please contact me for information regarding the current rate for my services. I generally request a deposit upon booking and then a flat fee at our closing visit. I believe every woman/family that would like doula services should have it regardless of financial situations; therefore, I am willing to work out an arrangement if needed.
